Bab Al-Hawa and Jarablus crossings issue two decisions for holders of dual nationalities and transit
Today, Wednesday, Bab al-Hawa border crossing in northern Idlib and Jarablus east of Aleppo issued two decisions to resume the transit movement of holders of dual nationality and those in transit to and from Turkish territory.
Bab al-Hawa crossing administration said in a statement: “We have reopened registration for transit requests. This step came after coordination with the Turkish side of the crossing.”
The administation also added, “Persons who want to cross must bring a valid passport, residence or visa on the passport, and a confirmed flight reservation for at least one month.”
For its part, the Bab al-Hawa crossing administration issued a statement in which it said that the crossing was opened for the entry of persons with dual nationality from Turkey to the Syrian territories on the condition that they carry the Corona code (HESKODU).
The administration added that it is possible to enter and return twice during one month, on all days of the week except for Saturday and Sunday.
The administation explained: “Those with dual nationality who want to enter the Syrian territories for the first time must send an application to the crossing as before to obtain entry approval.”
It also stipulated that the returnees to Turkey should conduct a corona test in the city of Jarablus to confirm their safety from Corona, so that on the basis of that, they would be allowed to enter Turkish territory.
It is noteworthy that the administration of the border crossings between Turkey and Syria (Bab al-Hawa, Bab al-Salama, and Jarablus) closed its doors in light of the large outbreak of the Corona virus in Turkey at the beginning of the previous year.
