“Watad” raises fuel prices in Idlib for the third time in a week

The “Watad” fuel company raised, to varying degrees, fuel prices in Idlib governorate, for the third time in a week, justifying that by the decrease in the value of the Turkish lira.

Today, Saturday, the company set the new price list, as the price of a liter of imported diesel increased by 14 Turkish piasters, so that the price of a liter became 5,91 Turkish liras, while the price of the first refined diesel increased by 11 piasters, so that the price of a liter rose to 4.64 Turkish liras, and the second refined diesel increased by 9 Turkish liras to become The price per liter is 4.17 Turkish liras.

The new price hike also included imported gasoline by 15 piasters, bringing the price per liter to 6.16 Turkish liras, and the price of a household gas cylinder increased by 2 liras to reach 87 Turkish liras.

This rise in fuel prices comes for the third time in less than a week, as the “Watad” justified this rise by the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar.

The company raised fuel prices this week twice, on the 23rd and 25th of this March, which has a negative impact on the people.
“Watad” links the rise in fuel prices to the Turkish lira’s exchange rate against the US dollar, as it has relied on the Turkish lira in fuel pricing since last June, after the Syrian pound collapsed to record levels against foreign currencies.

The exchange rate of the Turkish lira against the US dollar on Saturday morning was 8.13.
