The United Nations sends 64 trucks of humanitarian aid to northern Syria
Today, Wednesday, the United Nations announced that it has sent 64 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Idlib Governorate, in the liberated north of Syria.
According to the Turkish Anadolu Agency, the aid convoy entered the Syrian territories, through the “Gilo Gozo” crossing in Hatay Province, southern Turkey, opposite the “Bab al-Hawa” crossing from the Syrian side.
The same sources added that the humanitarian aid that was sent will be distributed to the needy in the Idlib region and its countryside in northern Syria.
The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator, Mark Lowcock, said that there are 13.4 million people in Syria who need humanitarian aid, during his speech at a conference organized by the United Nations and the European Union for donors to call on the international community to provide financial support to Syria mired in war 10 years ago, and to refugees Syrians scattered in the Middle East.
