Early Warning Network records 31 cases of Coronavirus in northwestern Syria
The Early Warning Network of the Support Coordination Unit announced the registration of 31 new cases of Coronavirus in northwestern Syria, yesterday, Monday, bringing the number of recorded cases to 21,540.
The network stated that 24 new cases of infection were recorded in the countryside of Aleppo (17 in Afrin region, 4 in Azaz, 2 in Jarablus, 1 in Al-Bab) and 7 in Idlib governorate (5 in Harem area, 2 in Idlib city).
The Warning Network indicated that 9 cases of recovery were recorded, all in the governorates of Idlib and Aleppo, bringing the total number of recoveries in northwestern Syria to 19,584 cases, and no new deaths were recorded, leaving the death toll to 638 cases.
The epidemiological surveillance laboratory of the EWARN program confirmed that it conducted 721 analyzes of the virus, bringing the number of analyzes it carried out to 114,842 in northern Syria.
The Idlib Health Directorate had warned against entering the northwestern region of Syria with a new wave of Coronavirus cases, after the recent escalation in the number of cases in many areas.
