The Danish Minister of Immigration and Integration calls on the Syrians to pack their bags and return to Syria
The Danish Minister of Immigration and Integration, Inger Stoyberg, has called again for the departure of the Syrian refugees whose residency has been withdrawn.
Stoiberg published a statement on her personal Facebook page, on Friday, which she called “an appeal to Syrian refugees” to go to Syria.
The Danish minister explained that she was Minister of Foreign Affairs when the wave of asylum began in late 2015, and therefore she is aware of the agreement that occurred between Denmark and the refugees, and added that they expected refugees to integrate and support themselves, but little did so, and Denmark on its part gave them education and helped them according to the laws, in order to prepare them to return later.
She added: “We can be in Denmark easily, and it is definitely better and more comfortable than Damascus, but here is not your home. We have provided you with the necessary protection, but you must now return, according to our assessment of the situation in Syria, ”calling for“ packing bags for everyone whose residency was withdrawn, and traveling to Syria to rebuild it. ”
It is noteworthy that Stoyberg’s statements come in the wake of Denmark’s withdrawal of residency permits from about 100 Syrian refugees, all of them from Damascus, after the Danish authorities classified the Syrian capital Damascus and the nearby areas as “safe areas.”
