Dead and wounded by artillery shelling targeted the city of Afrin, north of Aleppo
A child was killed and others were wounded, today, Sunday, by artillery shelling from SDF positions, which hit residential areas in Afrin city in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
Our correspondent said that SDF artillery targeted residential and agricultural areas inhabited by displaced people in tents after they were displaced from their homes, while the forces repeatedly targeted the city.
The reporter added that the victim child is called “Alia Rahim Al-Omar,” she is 3 years old, and she lives in a tent after she was displaced with her family from the village of “Al-Batrana” in the southern countryside of Aleppo.
The Syrian Democratic Forces’ shelling came with several rockets that landed on the outskirts of Afrin, the third of its kind in 24 hours.
It should be noted that the city of Afrin, within the “Olive Branch” region, has been subjected to two attacks during the past two days, with artillery and missile strikes by the Syrian Democratic Forces, in order to retaliate the Turkish artillery by targeting the latter’s sites in the village of Ein Dekna and the Meng Military Airport.
