US President vows to lay down red lines to Putin
US President Joe Biden announced that he will set red lines for his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, during their first meeting next Wednesday.
Biden’s comments came during his participation in a summit of NATO leaders.
And the American president began his first trip outside the United States of America with warnings to Russia.
Biden said: “If Moscow is found to be involved in malicious activities, it will face significant consequences.”
He added that his country is ready to cooperate with Moscow in many international files, including Syria, if it wants to, and pledged to respond to Russia for its “dangerous activities”.
The US President had held several meetings with leaders of countries against the backdrop of the NATO summit, which was held on Monday in Brussels, before heading to Geneva to meet his Russian counterpart.
Russian President Vladimir Putin described relations between the United States of America and Russia as bad and at their lowest levels in recent years, in an interview he gave to the American network (NBC News) before his meeting with US President Joe Biden this week.
Relations between the United States of America and Russia are witnessing a state of tension against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine and Syria, and the issue of the Russian dissident Alexei Navalny, who has been detained by Moscow since the seventeenth of last January.
