International Coalition: Washington’s accusation of stealing oil in Syria is a “false allegation”
A spokesman for the US-led international coalition, Wayne Maroto, said: “Washington’s accusation of stealing oil in Syria is false, and this misleading information that claims that the United States is stealing oil is unfounded.”
Maroto tweeted on his Twitter account: “As part of the mission to defeat ISIS (ISIS), the Syrian Democratic Forces, (with the support of US forces), are protecting vital petroleum infrastructure in northeastern Syria to prevent terrorism from accessing critical resources and revenues.”
US President Joe Biden has terminated the work of the American oil company Delta crescent Energy in Syria, which his predecessor, Donald Trump, had approved, according to what the Associated Press quoted an informed source as saying.
A spokesman for the International Coalition, Wayne Maroto, had previously stated that the military mission of the International Coalition in Syria is to support the Syrian Democratic Forces in order to defeat the “Islamic State” organization.
