The International Coalition: Our forces in Syria were attacked by several missiles
The spokesman for the International Coalition, Colonel Wayne Maroto, announced that “the American forces in Syria were attacked by several missiles, without causing any casualties or damage, according to initial reports.”
Colonel Wayne Maroto said, “The attack occurred at 7:44 local time,” noting that “the damage assessment is currently underway.”
And the “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights” reported that the Iranian militias in the western Euphrates region targeted the American base from their positions in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The Syrian Observatory stated that the international coalition led by Washington bombed with heavy artillery the city of Al-Mayadin, which is controlled by the Iranian militias in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
And a US army base in the Al-Omar field in Deir Ezzor governorate, eastern Syria, was attacked on Monday evening with rocket-propelled grenades.
These developments come after the United States launched air strikes last Sunday night on Iranian militias in Iraq and Syria, in response to attacks targeting its interests in Iraq in recent months. According to Washington, the American strikes targeted operational facilities and weapons depots in two locations in Syria and one location in Iraq.
