New cases of COVID-19 were recorded in northwestern Syria
The liberated north of Syria recorded 10 new infections with the Corona virus, while the outcome of the epidemic increased in the areas of the Assad regime, as it approached the barrier of 26,000 infections, and there was no update of the toll in the areas of the Syrian Democratic Forces in northeastern Syria.
The death toll in the liberated areas reached 25,752 infections, and 22,552 recovered cases, after 31 new cases of recovery were recorded, according to a statement issued by the health authorities in northern Syria.
While the deaths remained at 709 cases, with no new deaths recorded from the Corona virus, and the number of cases tested yesterday reached 107, bringing the total cases to 155,928 tests in northern Syria.
The health authorities concerned with monitoring the outcomes of Corona in northern Syria pointed to the reporting of one death during the past 24 hours, and confirmed that there were no cases of health sector workers, and stated that there was one acceptable case in the hospital and 3 cases of displaced people inside the camps.
And recently, 11 new cases were recorded in the “Spring of Peace” areas, bringing the number of cases to 2,018 and 22 deaths, without recording new deaths.
Warnings about the repercussions of the outbreak of the pandemic in northern Syria are mounting due to the overcrowding of the region, especially in displacement camps.
