A rocket attack targets a U.S base in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor

Yesterday, Sunday, a US base in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor was hit by a missile attack, for the second time in less than a week.

Media sources said that several rocket shells, originating from the areas controlled by the Assad regime forces, west of the Euphrates River, fell on “Al-Omar” oil field, which the American forces take as their base.

The sources added that the vicinity of the oil field witnessed a great mobilization of the American forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces, amid the flight of international coalition warplanes and the throwing of illuminated bombs over the region.

It is noteworthy that the first missile attack on “Omar Field” came a day after US warplanes, under the directives of President Joe Biden, carried out an attack on groups and sites affiliated with Iran’s militias in Syria and Iraq.
