Response Coordinators issue a statement on camps situation in northwest Syria
The Syria Response Coordination Group issued a statistic about camps situation in northwestern Syria, during the month of July, which included in numbers the conditions in terms of security, food, education and medical care.
The Group said in a statement: “The percentage of humanitarian response within the camps the food security and livelihoods sector reached 43%, water 24%, health and nutrition 22%, non-food items 39%, shelter 38%, education 24%, protection 22%.”
The statement added that many fires broke out in the camps, which numbered 13, resulting in the death of a child and the damage of 18 tents, while the number of Corona virus cases reached 209.
The statement documented more than thirty-nine camps in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo with varying damage, ranging from the demolition of tents to the uprooting of others, as a result of high-speed winds.
The Syria Response Coordination Group has previously appealed to humanitarian organizations and bodies operating in the region, requesting them to provide urgent and immediate assistance to the displaced people living in camps and informal settlements located in northwestern Syria.
