Daraa al-Balad witnessed violent clashes between the people of Daraa and the forces of the Assad regime this morning, amid continuous shelling with various types of weapons targeting the besieged neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad.
The Assad regime forces try to control the Daraa al-Balad area, amid intense shelling with mortars and anti-aircraft guns targeting residential neighborhoods, in light of clashes with machine guns, in an attempt to advance in the area.
Yesterday, a statement issued by the Daraa clans affirmed their “striving for Syria to be for all Syrians, a civil and democratic state in which everyone exercises their freedoms stipulated in the International Charter of Human Rights, and each of them performs his duty to build a homeland for all.”
The events in Daraa since the 29th of last month have rapidly developed after the Assad regime forces attempted to storm the neighborhoods of Daraa, which includes 11,000 families from 3 axes.
Daraa areas have been under siege for nearly six weeks, as the Assad regime forces prevented food and drink from them, targeted the only medical point, and deployed snipers around it.
