Doctors Without Borders warns of the deteriorating health conditions of Ain al-Arab residents in northern Syria

The organization, Doctors Without Borders, warned in its report today, Sunday, of the deteriorating health conditions provided to the residents of Ain al-Arab city in northern Syria, because the health system in the region is not fully functioning and is not yet able to meet the needs of the local population.

The organization confirmed that the residents of Ain al-Arab “Kobani” in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, which is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces, are isolated from the national immunization program due to the lack of political will to serve the area.

The organization called for sustainable solutions to ensure that people in the region have long-term protection against vaccine-preventable diseases.

The organization noted that there is a shortage of medical supplies and staff, and that many medical programs depend on humanitarian organizations support, pointing out that the security problems resulting from the escalation of the armed conflict and the associated logistical challenges, have hampered the provision of vaccines and the ability of people to access health services to receive Recommended vaccinations.

The organization indicated that the routine immunization programs run by the health of the Assad regime and with the support of the World Health Organization and “UNICEF” reach other areas to ensure routine vaccination coverage, but the residents of Ain al-Arab and a number of regions in northern and eastern Syria do not receive any equipment from the Assad regime. .
