Turkish Foreign Ministry: Allegations that we have accepted the entry of displaced people from Daraa are unfounded
Yesterday, Wednesday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed that it is closely following developments in the city of Daraa in southern Syria, stressing that targeting civilians by the Assad regime and forcing them to migrate is unacceptable.
This came in a written response to the Turkish Foreign Ministry’s spokesman, Tanju Bilgich, regarding the latest developments in the city of Daraa al-Balad in southern Syria.
Bilgich indicated that “the allegations regarding reaching an agreement with Turkey to accept many civilians who were forced to leave the city during mediation attempts between the Assad regime and the revolutionary factions are “unfounded.”
He pointed out that Turkey is closely following developments in Daraa, stressing that besieging and bombing the city of Daraa al-Balad and its surroundings and forcing civilians to migrate is “unacceptable.”
Bilgich added that “they learned of the ceasefire agreement that entered into force on September 6, expressing his expectations that this agreement will be permanent this time and will end the inhumane treatment of the residents of Daraa.”
It is noteworthy that the implementation of the second phase of the agreement began with the deployment of security points, as it was agreed to deploy 4 points inside the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad and 5 in its surroundings.
Here he means the organization of the state or wanted individuals who are from outside Daraa al-Balad and are sheltering inside it.
