6 deaths and 1,514 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in northwest Syria
Yesterday, northwestern Syria recorded 1,514 new cases of the emerging coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections to 53,625 cases since the virus began spreading.
According to the report issued by the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Early Warning Network, 1514 cases of coronavirus were recorded yesterday, after conducting 2,658 new analyzes, while the recovery cases rose to 28,611 cases after 439 cases of recovery were recorded.
According to the observatory, COVID-19 related deaths rose to 877, after six deaths were recorded.
The observatory indicated that the daily positivity rate is high, estimated at about (56%), with 35 cases of health sector workers, 10 accepted cases in the hospital, and 273 cases of displaced people inside the camps.
Health and humanitarian organizations in northern Syria had warned of an accelerating spread of Corona virus in the region, stressing the need to strictly follow the necessary preventive measures to limit the spread of the pandemic.
