One death and 168 new infections with COVID-19 were registered in northwestern Syria
The Early Warning Network recorded in its latest statistics in the 16th of October, one death and 168 new infections with Coronavirus in northwestern Syria, bringing the number of recorded deaths to 1556 and the number of infections to 81,463.
The network stated that 121 new Covid-19 cases were recorded, including 121 in Aleppo countryside (59 Afrin, 1 Jabal Samaan, 59 Azaz, 2 Jarabulus), and Idlib governorate recorded 978 infections (7 Ariha, 21 Harem, 18 Idlib, 1 Jisr al-Shughur).
The network recorded 461 recovery cases, 209 of which were recorded in Aleppo countryside (121 Afrin, 72 Azaz, 16 Jarabulus), and 381 were recorded in Idlib Governorate (5 Ariha, 169 Harem, 76 Idlib, 2 Jisr al-Shughur), bringing the total number of recovery cases to 47,279.
And the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Early Warning Network Program indicated that it conducted 348 analyses of Corona virus, bringing the number of analyzes it carried out to 287,342 in northern Syria.
Humanitarian organizations operating in northwestern Syria have warned of the approaching collapse of the health sector in the region due to Coronavirus outbreak and the arrival of the pandemic to its climax.
Yesterday, Sunday, the Syrian Civil Defense warned of the increasing rate of Corona virus in northwestern Syria, in light of the continuous depletion of the medical sector with cadres and facilities due to the systematic destruction committed by the Assad regime and Russia.
