2 Deaths and 76 new infections of COVID-19 were recorded in northwest Syria
In its latest statistics on October 30, 2021, the Early Warning Network recorded 76 new infections with Coronavirus in northwestern Syria, bringing the number of infections to 88,040.
According to the report issued by the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Early Warning Network, 76 coronavirus cases were recorded, after 209 new analyses were conducted, while the recovery cases has raised to 50,697 after 12 recovery cases were recorded.
The infections were distributed among the cities and towns of Idlib governorate, 10 infections in Idlib city and its suburbs, 4 in the Harem region, while the cities and towns of the northern and eastern Aleppo countryside recorded 59 infections.
According to the observatory, the number of deaths related to the virus has raised to 1,819, after 2 new deaths were recorded.
It is noteworthy that the escalation of the infection rate in northern Syria leads to an increase in the occupancy rate in hospitals, especially in the intensive care departments, and the vaccination coverage rate in northwestern Syria is still low, “and work must be done to increase the demand for vaccination and to raise the percentage of vaccinated people.”
