186 New Covid-19 cases were recorded in northwestern Syria
Yesterday, more than 180 new Covid-19 cases were recoded in northwestern Syria, bringing the total number of infections to 90,21 since the virus began spreading.
According to the report issued by the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Early Warning Network, 186 coronavirus cases were recorded yesterday, after conducting 603 new analyses, while the number of recovery cases reached 435, 360 of them in Idlib governorate, and 75 in the “Olive Branch” and “Euphrates shield” areas, bringing the number to 53,610 recovery cases.
The infections were distributed among the cities and towns of Idlib governorate, so that the governorate recorded 113 new infections, 87 infections in Idlib city and its suburbs, while the cities and towns of the northern and eastern Aleppo countryside recorded 73 infections, 28 of them in Afrin region.
While the past hours recorded two deaths related to coronavirus, bringing the number of deaths to 1934 cases since the virus began spreading in northwest Syria, according to the epidemiological surveillance laboratory.
The northwestern region of Syria has been witnessing a gradual decrease in the number of infections for days, after two consecutive months of the accelerated spread of the virus and its causing a major deficit in the health sector.
It is noteworthy that the number of analyses has reached 305,696 since the pandemic outbreak in the middle of last year.
