Turkey and Iran agree on the need to find a solution to the “Syrian crisis”
During a press conference that brought together the two foreign ministers, Turkey and Iran agreed to prepared a road map to establish a long-term road map, at the request of the Iranian side.
The Iranian foreign minister, Hussein Amir Abdullahian, said that his country agreed with Turkey to start diplomatic talks, regarding the terms of road map for long-term cooperation on regional files including the Syrian file.
This came in his speech yesterday, Monday, during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, in the capital, Tehran.
For his part, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu expressed his country’s hope to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria and Iraq, stressing that Ankara shares with Tehran its desire to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Davutoglu called for the return of all international parties to the nuclear agreement with Iran, in order to maintain the stability of the region.
The foreign ministers of the guarantor states of the Syrian dialogue (Turkey, Iran, and Russia) are scheduled to meet in the “Astana” talks in mid-December, according to what the Kazakh Foreign Minister announced earlier.
