Covid-19 recovery rate has increased and Covid-19 infections have decreased in northern Syria
The Covid-19 recoveries have increased to 96 thousands and 551 cases in northwestern Syria after recording yesterday 201 new cases. Northwestern region has recorded 31 new cases in one day, bringing the total number of infections to 102237, according to a statistic published by the Surveillance Laboratory.
Idlib governorate recorded 188 recovery cases, while the cities and towns of the northern and eastern Aleppo countryside recorded 13 cases, according to the Laboratory.
The laboratory did not record any deaths, which keeps the total number of deaths in the region at 2420.
The number of infections in the “Peace Spring” region increased to 13,239, after 12 new infections were recorded yesterday, and the laboratory did not record any recovery or death, which keeps the total number of recovery cases at 11,468, and deaths at 90.
The medical authorities have warned of a new wave after the arrival of ”Omicron” which exceeded their capacity due to the depletion of the health sector in the previous wave, while the percentage of vaccinated people hasn’t exceeded 8% in the liberated areas.
