“Long live Ramadan”.. an ongoing Turkish relief campaign to provide food parcels for 135,000 people in Syria
Under the slogan “Long live Ramadan,” the media official of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation “IHH” published a statement in which he said that relief activities are continuing in Syria, and Anadolu Agency said, “135,000 people in Syria benefited from Ramadan parcels that were distributed with the contribution of donors.”
The media official confirmed that the war-affected Syrian families are experiencing the joy of Ramadan, as they struggle to live in dire conditions, and that the aid parcels distributed by the foundation on the occasion of the month of Ramadan include foodstuffs such as legumes, sugar and vegetable oil.
He pointed out that 22,656 parcels were distributed in Idlib, Afrin, Azaz, Jarablus, Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad, benefiting 135,000 people.
With the advent of the month of Ramadan, Qatar Charity began implementing the “Iftar for the fasting people” project in the Syrian refugee camps in Turkey, and providing breakfast meals for the displaced in northern Syria. It is assumed that the “Iftar for the fasting people” project in Turkey and Syria will benefit about 140,000 people throughout the blessed month of Ramadan. This project is part of the Qatar Charity campaign projects “Ramadan of Hope” in 39 countries.
