The number of Covid-19 infections has decreased in northern Syria
Northern Syria regions recorded yesterday 3 new Covid-19 cases, increasing the total number of confirmed infections to 102869, according to a statistic released by the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory.
The total number of recoveries in the same region reached 99312, after 10 individuals had recovered from COVID-19.
No Covid-19-related deaths have been recorded by the laboratory, leaving the death toll unchanged at 2459.
The laboratory conducted 202 Covid-19 tests, bringing the total number of analyses to 373,308 in northern Syria.
During the second half of the last year, the medical sector in northwestern Syria suffered from serious pressures due to the Covid-19 rapid spread and the shortage of medical staff resulted from the increasing number of infections and deaths and the poor capabilities.
The health authorities are still warning of the Covid-19 rapid spread again in the region after the emergence of infections related to the new mutant “Omicron”, amid demands for citizens to fully adhere to preventive measures, wear masks, and receive a Covid-19 vaccination.
