US State Department: Russia has failed in its war against Ukraine
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Monday that Russia has failed to achieve its military aims during its war on Ukraine.
The Ukrainian forces succeeded to stop the Russian attacks, noting that Kyiv had won the battle. This came after the American senior officials walked in the streets of the Ukrainian capital and saw the residents there, according to BBC News.
The BBC added that Blinken and the US Secretary of Defense met with the Ukrainian president and a number of officials for three hours, after they entered Ukraine via a train that took them from Poland to Kyiv.
It is noteworthy that the US administration, led by President Joe Biden, announced earlier that it would provide new military aid to Ukraine in order to confront the Russian invasion, and according to informed reports, the value of the aid amounted to nearly one billion dollars, as it includes defense systems and weapons of a modern type.
