Turkish opposition party leader vows to send Syrians home
The opposition Republican People’s Party leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has pledged to send Syrians back homes as soon as he took power.
Kılıçdaroğlu said during a symposium organized by Turkey’s Kent University: ”As the head of the Republican People’s Party, we will send all our Syrian brothers and sisters to their regions of their own volition within a period of two years maximum.”
Kılıçdaroğlu pointed out: “The Turkish government and Western countries are responsible for returning the Syrians to their country. He added Turkey’s signing readmission agreement has turned Turkey to a prison for refugees.”
The governor of Gaziantep Daoud Gul confirmed during his meeting with consultative body and the members of communication committee in the Syrian community in the state: “the returning of Syrian refugees to their country will be voluntarily and of their own desire.
It is reported that former Turkish prime minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said earlier: “It is impossible to return the Syrians in Turkey to their country, without forming a joint government between the Assad regime and the opposition in Syria.”
