Bab al-Hawa border crossing will be closed to travelers during the Eid Al Adha holiday
The Bab al-Hawa border crossing administration announced on Tuesday that Bab al-Hawa crossing was closed to passenger traffic for a period not exceeding six days during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
The administration posted on Facebook saying, “Dear people, we inform you that the Bab al-Hawa crossing will be closed during the Eid al-Adha holiday to passenger traffic from Thursday until next Tuesday.”
Trucks crossing the border will also be suspended from Friday until next Tuesday.
The administration clarified that the movement of passengers to Turkey will return next Wednesday, and that the passengers crossing to and from Turkey will return to normal next Thursday.
It is noteworthy that the Bab al-Hawa border crossing with Turkey is the only lifeline for commerce in northwestern Syria, and the only humanitarian outlet through which all relief convoys enter for the needy people in northwestern Syria.
