Erdogan: Our war against “terrorism” continues, and we have overcome all obstacles in northern Syria
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during the general assembly of the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations in Ankara on Tuesday, “We are continuing our war against terrorism, and we are taking all necessary measures, whether in Idleb or Ain al-Arab in northern Syria.”
Erdogan stressed that “Turkey has overcome all obstacles to fight terrorism at its source, so if the source of terrorism is in northern Syria, we will end it in northern Syria and not by bringing it inside, this is our struggle.”
Erdogan added, “Some of them sabotage us and say you can’t do anything in Ain Al-Arab, and you can’t do that. Ain Al-Arab has ended for us, so what can you do now?”
He made it clear that his country has taken all the necessary measures in Idleb and Ain al-Arab in the past and from now on, saying: “Tell these terrorists that Turkey is no longer a fertile place for them.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has previously confirmed that his country will definitely complete a 30-kilometer-deep security belt on its southern border with Syria.
