Syrian Civil Defence calls on the international community to put an end to the aggressive attacks on Syrians and to hold their perpetrators accountable
The Syrian Civil Defence called on in a statement on Tuesday, October 5, the international community to put an end to the aggressive attacks on the Syrians and protect them in north-west Syria and to hold Assad regime and Russia accountable for their crimes which increases day after day as they go unpunished.
The statement called on to end the killing and displacement and to implement the political solution in accordance with the UNSCR 2254, to enable forcible displaced people to return homes, in addition to hold the perpetrators of violations and crimes against humanity accountable.
The statement confirmed that the guided missiles is a proof of the systematic and deliberated attacks carried out by Assad regime forces due to their precision. These attacks are considered an extension of the criminality and killing policy, which Assad regime has been following for 12 years.
The statement considered that targeting Taftanaz town, Tuesday on November 7th, with guided missiles is the third target of its kind in less than 20 days, resulting in the death of one civilian and injuring others.
The statement emphasized that the ongoing aggressive attacks on the civilians and raising the scale of escalation threaten the life of civilians in many areas in the countryside of Idleb and Aleppo, force them out of their homes, prevent the farmers to harvest their agricultural crops, and weaken the educational process and livelihoods.
The Assad regime forces targeted on October 19, 2023, with guided missile a civilian car near Taftanaz town in eastern Idleb countryside, setting it on fire, however no casualties were recorded.
The Assad regime forces also targeted with guided missile a car parked near a house in Kamaya village, western Idleb, on August 6, injuring a shepherd boy.
The Syrian Civil Defence responded, since the beginning of this year until October 31, to 13 attacks with guided missiles by Assad regime forces which resulted in the killing of 3 civilians, including a volunteer in the Syrian Civil Defence, and the injury of 11 civilians, including a child.
The Syrian Civil Defence documented about 300 attacks by Assad regime forces and Russia with the various kinds of weapons, including the international prohibited ones, killing 66 civilians, including 33 children and 13 women, and injuring more than 270 civilians including, 79 children and 47 women and 3 volunteers in the Syria Civil Defence. The Assad regime forces also committed 3 massacres most of the victims are children and women.
