The Pentagon: Targeting Al-Maki in Idleb confirms our ability to reach anywhere in the world
The Pentagon (US Department of Defense) confirmed that the United States has the ability to reach anywhere in the world to protect itself, as evidenced by the strike it carried out in ldleb against a senior leader in “Horas al-Din” or “Guardians of Religion” organization a few days ago.
The Pentagon Press Secretary Pat Ryder stated during a press conference: “Washington has been able to foil plots and disrupt terrorist networks, including ISIS-K.”
The Pentagon pointed out that the United States proved its ability to reach anywhere in the world when there is a threat, including in Central Asia or in the Middle East.
According to Ryder, “his country will not hesitate to take the necessary measures to keep its security, as evidenced by the US Central Command (CENTCOM)’s strike in Syria, which killed a leader of a group associated with ISIS.”
(CENTCOM) announced on 24 August the killing of a senior leader in “Horas al-Din” organization, Abu Abdulrahman Al-Maki, in an airstrike targeting him in Idleb countryside in north-west Syria.
In October 2020, “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” arrested “Al-Maki” from his home in Idleb city on charges of belonging to the “Guardians of Religion” organization, who pledged allegiance to “Al-Qaeda Al-Jihad”.
It is noteworthy that the Council of the European Union added the “Guardians of Religion” organization and its military and religious leaders to the list of individuals and entities subjected to sanctions for their association with the “Islamic State” organization, in May 2022.
