Today, Tuesday, the Emergency and Disaster Management “AFAD”, civil society organizations and the Turkish Red Crescent Organization sent humanitarian aid to the displaced people affected by the floods in the camps of Idlib Governorate, after it was flooded with rainwater due to the heavy rains that hit the area.
The Turkish state of Hatay announced in a statement, the continuation of relief efforts, in coordination with it, to help the families whose tents were flooded.
It also added: “The Emergency and Disaster Management Agency, AFAD, civil society organizations, and the Turkish Red Crescent, in coordination with the state, are working to deliver tents and humanitarian relief supplies to the displaced, whose tents were flooded due to the heavy rains in the Syrian region of Idlib.”
The state statement noted that Turkish organizations continue to build temporary homes for the displaced at the highest speed.
In a statement, the Turkish Red Crescent stated that, after inspecting losses on the ground, the Turkish Red Crescent teams delivered humanitarian aid to those affected.
The Turkish Red Crescent stated that it sent tents, mattresses, blankets, heaters, charcoal, detergent and food parcels to Idlib governorate, and that its teams distributed blankets and bread for the affected people in the tents it established to shelter them, and that it will continue to work to meet the needs of those affected.
