Huda Al-Absi explains the aim of adding a course on the history of the Syrian revolution
The Ministry of Education in the Syrian Interim Government announced on Monday, in a statement, the addition of a course on the history of the Syrian revolution within the curricula of basic and secondary education.
In an exclusive interview with Fresh Online, the Minister of Education in the Syrian Interim Government, Huda Al-Absi, said, “The aim of the Ministry of Education’s decision to add a book on the Syrian revolution to the history course is to inform the generation about the massacres committed by al-Assad, the reasons that led to the outbreak of the revolution and its bright aspects without going into details. ”
The book of the Syrian Revolution is added to the history course curricula for the seventh and eighth grades of the basic education stage, and for the first and second grades of the secondary stage, according to the issued decision.
The Ministry of Education has formed a committee to prepare the appropriate book for each grade, provided that the academic year 2021-2022 will be studied.
