Idlib health Directorate begins to vaccinate citizens against Coronavirus
The Free Idlib Health Directorate has published through its official identifiers that it will begin vaccinating people with chronic diseases with the Covid-19 vaccine, in cooperation with the Syria Vaccine Team, tomorrow, Monday.
Hussam Qara Muhammad, the official in charge of the Corona file in the Idlib Health Directorate, explains to Fresh, “The vaccination campaign will be launched for citizens in Idlib Governorate, which will target the most vulnerable group to infection with the virus, namely people with chronic diseases and multiple diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes and asthma from the age of 18 years and over.”
Qara Muhammad continues, “Patients are transferred from inpatient clinics to fixed vaccination centers, where there will be a vaccine team affiliated to the Syria Vaccine Team in each fixed vaccination center and the Idlib Health Directorate specialized in giving corona vaccine to patients.”
According to Qara Muhammad, the Idlib Health Directorate and the Syria Vaccine Team have supplied most of the humanitarian and health sector workers with the vaccine in the first stage.
On 1 May, 2021, the campaign to vaccinate with the Covid-19 vaccine was launched in Idlib Governorate.
