67 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in northern Syria
The Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network of the Support Coordination Unit announced today, Sunday, the registration of one death and 67 new infections with the Corona virus in northwestern Syria.
The network stated that the new cases of infection were recorded: 32 in the countryside of Aleppo and 35 in the Idlib governorate, noting that the total number of infections in northwestern Syria rose to 24,676.
The Alert Network added that it conducted 617 new analyzes, bringing the total of analyzes in the governorates of Idlib and Aleppo to 145,492 analyses, noting that 124 cases of recovery from the virus were recorded, bringing the total recovery cases to 21,354.
The network indicated that the new death was in the Harem area and 23 of the total infections inside the camps, and the Health Information System unit classified 4 deaths related to the Corona virus.
On May 1, 2021, a vaccination campaign against the Corona virus was launched in Idlib Governorate, targeting medical and relief cadres and medical personnel from local organizations through the Syria Vaccine Team.
