76 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in northern Syria
The “Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory” of the “Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network EWARN” program revealed that the death toll of Corona cases had risen to 76 in the liberated areas of northern Syria.
The network concerned with monitoring the outcome of Corona in northern Syria indicated that the new infections were recorded, raising the total number to 25,534, the recovery cases to 22,359, and 707 deaths.
The network indicated that the number of cases tested during the past hours amounted to 426, bringing the total number of cases tested to 153,534 in northern Syria.
Medical sources pointed out that one new death was recorded during the past 24 hours, one case of health sector workers (a doctor) and two cases admitted to the hospital, 17 cases of displaced people inside the camps, and 20 new infections in the “Spring of Peace” areas in the northeast of the country, bringing the number of infections to 1,972.
It is worth noting that warnings are rising about the repercussions of the outbreak of the pandemic in northwestern Syria due to the overcrowding of the region, especially in displacement camps.
