New cases of COVID-19 were recorded in northwestern Syria
The Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network of the “Support Coordination Unit” announced the registration of 15 new cases of coronavirus in the northern Syrian regions.
The network concerned with monitoring the outcomes of Corona recorded 26,432 infections, with no new deaths recorded, and thus the number stopped at 722 cases.
And 7 new cases of recovery were recorded, bringing the number of cases recovering from the virus to 23 thousand and 233 people, and the network pointed out that the number of new analyzes reached 217, which raises the total number to 166 thousand and 85 tests.
Most of the infections were distributed in Idlib city, Jarablus region, and Afrin in the countryside of Aleppo, according to the classification by the health information system.
The network pointed out that one health worker (a nurse) was infected with no acceptable cases in the hospital, while one case was registered among the displaced inside the camps.
Warnings about the repercussions of the outbreak of the pandemic in northwestern Syria are mounting due to the overcrowding of the region, especially in displacement camps.
