Ahrar Houran Gathering: Assad regime forces are trying to storm Daraa al-Balad amid intense shelling
Today, Monday, Ahrar Houran Gathering reported that Assad regime forces are trying to advance into Daraa al-Balad from three axes, amid intense missile shelling.
The Ahrar Houran Gathering stated that the Fourth Division of the Assad regime forces and the Iranian militias have bombed, since Monday morning, dozens of shells and Elephant rockets, the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad, causing destruction to the targeted areas.
The Gathering indicated that the bombing coincided with violent clashes between the people of Daraa al-Balad, the forces of the Assad regime and the Iranian militias supporting them, in an attempt by the latter to storm the area from three axes.
The “Ahrar Houran Gathering” clarified that the Assad regime forces’ firing on the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad this morning is the most violent since the start of the military campaign, pointing out that 20 “elephant” land-land rocket fell on the area, in less than an hour.
The military escalation of the Assad regime forces comes after the official spokesman for Daraa Central Committee, Adnan al-Masalma, announced, in a statement, the collapse of negotiations due to the regime’s intransigence and lack of response to Russian proposals, and its continued attempt to impose its conditions, and its failure to respect the ceasefire.
