Ibrahim Kalin calls on the international community to take action to end the humanitarian crisis in Syria
Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin stressed during his meeting with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths in the Turkish capital, Ankara, the need for the international community to move to end the humanitarian crisis in Syria.
“The humanitarian crisis in Syria must be ended, and a political solution must be found,” Kalin said, stressing that his country is unable to withstand a new wave of refugees.
Kalin called on the international community to take action to urgently and firmly address the humanitarian crisis in Syria.
Kalin expressed his welcome to Security Council Resolution No. 2585, which guarantees the continued flow of humanitarian aid to Syria.
It is noteworthy that Russia and the militias of the Assad regime and Iran have recently intensified their aerial and ground bombardment on the outskirts of the liberated areas, especially the Jabal al-Zawiya area in the southern countryside of Idlib, which resulted in the emergence of a displacement movement, in addition to dozens of deaths and injuries among civilians.
