Shelling and clashes after a negotiation round between a delegation of Daraa’s people and Assad regime forces and Russia
“Ahrar Houran Gathering” said that Assad regime forces have continued since yesterday midnight boming the districts of besieged Daraa al-Balad, and the forces also targeted a delegation of people of Darra after Ahrar Houran Gathering held a negotiation round between them and Assad regime and Russian side.
“The Gathering” also clarified that several civilians have been injured as a result of continuing bombing by Assad regime forces with tanks and artillery shells in addition to surface-to-surface missiles on districts of Daraa al-Balad among them “Al-Sad” and “Daraa Camp” after three days of ceasefire.
On early morning of today Sunday, violent clashes between militants of Darraa and Assad regime forces took place around Daraa al-Balad.This happened a fter Assad regime forces targeted the delegation of Horan Gathering while the gathering were heading towards Daraa Al-Balad after a negotiation round was held between them and Assad regime and Russian side.
The Houran delegation met with Daraa clans council to inform them about the details of the negotiations, as the issue of displacing people of besieged Daraa Al-Balad has not been resolved until now.
In turn, the Negotiations Committee on behalf of people of Daraa said that the request for displacement came as a result of the siege and the harsh conditions that Daraa al-Balad is living in, and it became known to all.
The committee added that the displacement to Turkey or Jordan is intended to enter the territories of the two countries and not to reach northern Syria.
The tribes of Daraa had previously called on the Russian side to secure a mass displacement of the people of Daraa al-Balad towards Turkey or Jordan, after the Assad regime’s coup against the terms of the agreement concluded with the tribes, according to the negotiating committee.
The people appealed to Jordanian King Abdullah II to intervene to stop the “extermination and displacement operations” they are subjected to by the Assad regime forces, without Russian intervention to prevent them. They also appealed to him – in a video – to open a safe road for them to reach Jordan.
