Washington invites the Syrian Negotiating Committee to attend the “Group of Small Countries” meetings in Geneva
The United States of America invited yesterday the Syrian negotiating committee to attend the meetings of the “Group of Small Countries” in Geneva city, Switzerland, to discuss the Syrian file.
This invitation came after Washington invited about 15 countries, including European and Western countries, to attend the meetings of the “Group of Small Countries” to discuss the developments of the Syrian file.
The Syrian negotiating committee headed by Bader Jamous will meet on Tuesday with the envoys of several countries, including the United States, Britain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia to discuss the latest developments in Syria.
The meeting aims to find a sustainable solution to the Syrian file, after Russia refused to hold the constitutional committee meeting in Geneva city, Switzerland.
The UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen announced yesterday that the work of the Constitutional Committee did not achieve any progress during its recent meetings in finding a permanent solution to the Syrian file.
