Assad regime forces were killed and injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting Damascus
Media sources loyal to Assad regime reported on Sunday that “Israeli strikes targeted areas in Damascus and its countryside, killing and injuring a number of Assad regime forces.”
The sources said: “The strikes killed one member of Assad regime forces and injured three others.”
The sources added: “An airstrike targeted a building in Kafr Sousa in Damascus which led to the destruction parts of the building’s basement.”
The sources pointed out that there was a security alert around the building which came under bombardment in Kafr Sousa neighborhood, as the strikes caused a huge destruction in the targeted location.
A huge fire also broke out in an area on the outskirts of the capital, and the sources indicated that “the fire resulted from targeting weapon depots in the Jamraya area.”
It is noteworthy that on 9 July, Israel bombed a military point in the Arab al-Malik area towards the coast of Baniyas city, north of Tartous, the strike targeted an air defense system belonging to Iranian militias, coinciding with the arrival of two Iranian ships to Latakia port, according to local sources.
