The Israeli Minister of War, Benny Gantz, announced that the Israeli forces are in a state of alert and preparedness, and that there is a state of alert at all border points
“We are vigilant at all of our borders,” Gantz said during an inspection tour of the Northern Command with the top officers of the staff. We have acted and will continue to act against anyone who tries to challenge us from near or far. We do not sit and wait, we take security, political and economic steps.
He added, “Our enemies are not interested in Corona or the elections. I will do everything to ensure that Israel has a leadership that works around the clock, seven days a week, in Israel’s security and health and in pushing the necessary operations in the region.”
During his tour, Gantz was briefed about the strategic plans to deal with the Syrian front in the event of any emergency.
A high defensive alert is still present in various areas in Israel in anticipation of a retaliatory strike by Iran or any of its proxies in the region from Syria, Iraq, Yemen or Lebanon on the anniversary of the killing of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani and the nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
