IHH opens a housing complex for orphans and widows in the town of Kafra, northern Syria, with Turkish and Iraqi support
The Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (İHH), in cooperation with the “Iraqi Turkmen Justice Association,” opened a residential complex for orphans and widows in the town of Kufra near the Azaz region, northern Syria.
In an exclusive interview with Fresh Online, Hassan Marei, head of the local council of the town of Kufra, said: “The compound, which has been completed, includes 90 housing units in addition to a school that serves water and electricity, and the other most important needs.”
Al-Marai added that the opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Turkish Commission, the Turkmen Association, the head of the local council of the city of Soran, the local council of the town of Kufra, and a number of local personalities in the region.
The head of the Iraqi Turkmen Justice Association in Istanbul, Medhat Ibrahim, said in a speech during the opening: “We opened the project for our Syrians, especially orphans and widows, and our projects are continuing in other places.”
This project is considered one of the important and influential projects in the liberated areas, which was implemented by the Turkish Commission, and the Turkish Relief Organization, İHH, is continuously working to distribute urgent aid to the poor, needy and needy families in northern Syria, which includes hundreds of tents to shelter the displaced, as well as the necessary foodstuffs.
