400 cases and 17 new deaths from the Corona virus were recorded throughout the Syrian regions
During the past 24 hours, all Syrian regions recorded 17 deaths and about 400 new cases of Coronavirus, amid the weakness of the medical sector and the inability of health authorities to control the epidemic.
Where the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Support Coordination Unit announced the registration of 21 cases in northwestern Syria yesterday, which brought the total number of cases to 21,613, while no new deaths were recorded, and the number remained at 638 deaths, compared to the recovery of 19,644 cases.
In the regions of north-eastern Syria, the “Health Authority”, in the so-called “Autonomous Administration,” announced that 199 cases and 5 new deaths were recorded in Corona, bringing the total number of injuries to 13,203 cases, including 442 deaths and 1,407 recoveries.
As for the Assad regime-controlled areas, the “Ministry of Health” of the Assad regime said that it had recorded 158 cases, in addition to 12 deaths, which raises the total number of cases to 20 thousand and 713, including 1,414 deaths, and 14 thousand and 469 cases of recovery.
With this new outcome, the northwestern regions of the country continue to rank first among the Syrian regions in terms of the number of corona cases, followed by the Assad regime areas and then the northeastern regions of Syria.
The medical sector throughout Syria suffers from weak financial capabilities, lack of medical equipment and supplies, and the inability of health authorities to control the epidemic or limit its spread.
