Aleppo Health Directorate: We have started vaccination with the second dose against Corona in northern Syria
The Aleppo Health Directorate in northern Syria began giving the second dose of the Corona vaccine to the targeted people, and it expected to deliver a new batch of vaccines within 15 days.
The head of the vaccine department in the Aleppo Health Directorate, Doctor Jihad Berro, said in a statement to Radio Al-Kul yesterday, Sunday, that about 47 people have been vaccinated against Corona in northwestern Syria since the vaccination began last May, and Aleppo’s share was more than 18 thousand doses.
He stated that the medical teams continue to vaccinate the targeted people until the quantity of the vaccine runs out. He also indicated that some of those covered by the vaccine, namely groups working in the medical and humanitarian fields, people with chronic diseases and the elderly, received the second dose that vaccination began recently.
Berro noted that the vaccine contributed significantly to limit the spread of Corona virus in the region.
It is worth noting that the regions of northwestern Syria and the Spring of Peace region recorded more than 28,300 cases of the virus, 742 of whom died, and 23,461 cases were cured.
