The Early Warning Network records 707 new cases of COVID-19 in northern Syria
Today, Monday, the Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network registered 707 new cases of COVID-19 in the liberated areas of northwestern Syria.
The network stated that the total number of infections in northern Syria reached 35,430, and the number of recovery cases reached 24,321, after recording 99 new cases of recovery.
While the death toll in northern Syria reached 751 cases, with 3 deaths recorded and the total cases tested yesterday, 1,347, which raises the number of analyzes to 196,798 tests in northern Syria.
The total positivity rate was estimated yesterday at 53%, which is higher in Idlib governorate (60%), and 7 cases of health sector workers (a doctor, 4 nurses, and 2 ambulance drivers), 3 cases admitted to the hospital, and 29 cases of displaced people inside the camps.
The Syrian Civil Defense had transferred the bodies of people from centers and hospitals for the Corona virus in northern Syria and buried them according to strict preventive measures, and also indicated that suspected cases of infection with the virus were transferred to quarantine centers.
It should be noted that the outcome of the Corona epidemic has re-rised in northern Syria in the current period, and warnings about the repercussions of the outbreak of the pandemic are increasing dramatically due to the overcrowding of the region, especially in the displacement camps.
