The revolutionary factions thwart an infiltration attempt by the Assad forces east of Idlib

On the night of Tuesday-Wednesday, the revolutionary factions thwarted an attempt to infiltrate the Assad regime forces from the axis of the town of Afes in the eastern Idlib countryside, after which clashes with light weapons took place.

After the clashes, the revolutionary factions targeted the locations of the Assad regime forces, with mortar shells.
This is the third infiltration attempt by the Assad regime forces and its affiliated militias, in northwestern Syria, in less than a month.

On August 6, the Assad regime forces tried to infiltrate the areas of the western countryside of Aleppo, on the Kafr Noran axis, but failed due to the opposition of the revolutionary factions.
