The council said on its Facebook page: “The project to facilitate Syrians and Turks’ access to digital jobs aims to teach them the basic principles of software science.”
The council added that the trainees within the project will undergo final exams after the end of the training period to select the successful ones and employ them in a paid employment program in the field of technology entrepreneurship.
The council indicated that the project will target the category of Syrian and Turkish youth between the ages of 18 and 30 years.
The council stated that Syrian refugees under temporary protection, aged between 18 and 30, will receive rapid training on the basics of programming in Turkish via the Internet, and at the end of the project, successful candidates will be selected for employment within a paid job program within the framework of the technology entrepreneurship project.
The council confirmed that it will provide financial grants to support 10 projects, at a value of $5,000 for each project, for Syrian refugees subject to the temporary protection program between the ages of 18 and 30, after undergoing a training program in the framework of entrepreneurship.
The Danish Refugee Council in Turkey explained that the project comes in partnership with the “Kodluyoruz and Başlangış Noktas” organization and funded by the “Novo Nordisk Fonden” organization, and aims to employ Syrian and Turkish youth in paid employment programs.
