Erdogan: We will complete establishing the safe zone along our border with Syria as soon as possible
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said: “his country intends to complete the safe zone which it has been establishing along its 30-km deep border with Syria as soon as possible.”
He delivered a speech via telephone call to an event which was held on the occasion of passing 10,000th day of sit-in protest being staged by parents against “terrorism” in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir.
Erdogan added: “that Turkey has been terminating the presence of the terrorist organization where it was active and it has become unable to deceive the children and convince its militants to fight with it.
Erdogan indicated: “Through this operation, Turkey will have completely eliminated the organization that deceives sons and leads them to fight with Syrian Democratic Forces.”
Following a cabinet meeting last Monday, president Recep Tayyib Erdogan said: ” We will soon take new steps regarding the incomplete portions of the project we started on the 30-km deep safe zone we established along our southern border with Syria.”
It is noteworthy that the Turkish National Security Council stressed that the current military operations on the country’s southern borders and the others that will be implemented are necessary for the national security, and that they do not target the sovereignty of neighboring countries.
