Assad regime issues a list of terrorism’s supporters in Syria including the Turkish president
Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper reported that “the Assad regime’s Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing Terrorism Authority (AMLA) published a list of individuals and entities charged with money laundering and supporting the local terrorism.”
The newspaper said: “The list included names of prominent politicians, political parties, and international entities including Arab and foreign cleric and members of parliaments.”
The newspaper added: “The list included the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and two former prime ministers, Ahmed Davutoglu, the Turkish prime minister and the former foreign minister.
The newspaper also added: “The list included Saad Al-Hariri, the former president of the Lebanese government and head of the Future Movement, the head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, and the head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea.”
The list also included the names of deceased Arab and Syrian figures, the most important of whom was the Egyptian Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, who died on September 26, 2022 in Doha, the Lebanese Islamic preacher Al-Shahal, who died after contracting Corona virus in November 2020, and a member of the Lebanese Future Movement, the Janah Hammoud, who died in January, 2015, and the Secretary-General of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq, Harith Al-Dhari, who died in March 2015.
It is noteworthy that after the last update, the number of individuals involved in financing “terrorism” and money laundering reached 597 people, and the number of entities reached 105 according to the list, but in reality, they are 127 organizations, institutions and associations, as it placed all Turkish associations classified as supporting terrorism in one field, which are 24 organizations.
