Anas al-Abdah: We look forward to draft a new constitution in the constitutional committee meetings

The head of the Syrian opposition negotiating committee, Anas al-Abdah, said” working to guarantee the right of our people by drafting a new constitution for a just and democratic state is the aim of the negotiating committee in the constitutional committee meetings.”

Al-abdah stated in a tweet on Twitter” the negotiating committee is working in parallel to fully implement the Resolution 2254″, stressing the goals of our great revolution are our compass and path, this is the right of our people over us.”

Yesterday, Monday, the work of the first session of the sixth round of the Syrian Constitutional Committee meetings, which was held in Geneva to discuss the basic principles of the constitution, was concluded.

The co-chair of the Syrian Constitutional Committee announced to the opposition delegation, Hadi al-Bahra, during a press statement after the meeting that “the stage of open discussions has been completed, and the basic process for which the committee was formed has begun.”
